The Consorzio per la Tutela dell’Asti DOCG has recently concluded an important corporate initiative aimed at increasing the perceived quality and value of Moscato DOCG in the US market, which is currently enjoying a sort of Moscatomania, thanks also to the wine being mentioned in some rap songs, which has transformed it into a hip and trendy item.

Four tutoring and comparative tasting seminars for the HO.RE.CA. sector and trade retailers were held in New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Miami in September 2016.

To conclude this corporate initiative, on Tuesday 15th November 2016 in New York, the Consorzio per la Tutela dell’Asti DOCG organised:

  • A wine telling and tutoring session with the contribution of 6 producers of the Consortium. Among the others, there was a Moscato by Marenco that had been served to the Heads of State at a UN Meeting in September.
  • A Moscato themed evening event dedicated to Moscato DOCG consumers, in partnership with Gotham Magazine.
